Hideaways is a Nature Lover’s Dream. And we almost missed it because we only ended up with Jennifer and Crispin, because we were stuck on Dominica due to the Covid-19 virus. We didn’t know what to expect, but in retrospect this stay in the beautiful handcrafted cottage changed our whole opinion about the island.

Where does your curiosity take you?
I love places that tell a story, have a history, a unique culture. I am in love with beautiful landscapes and connecting to new people, places that make me feel like I really travelled somewhere. My worst nightmare would be a two week all-inclusive stay in a hotel while only traveling between the pool and the bar. Places that teach me something about myself own my heart. To me, traveling is exploring and freedom.

Burg Eltz – A fairytale day trip from Cologne
Burg Eltz, located in Germany’s Moselle area, is a medieval castle labeled as one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. It is still owned by the same family that lived here in the 12th century.
Sprinkled with fairytale flair, beautiful sight and one of the best hiking trails in the entire area, Eltz Castle is definitely worth a visit. Since it’s a perfect day trip from Cologne or Düsseldorf, you could easily combine a city trip with a visit to this magnificent castle.
