The tulip fields in the Netherlands are known worldwide. Every year, several thousand people make a pilgrimage there to admire the beautiful flowers. Sad that I can forget my visit to Lisse, Netherlands this year, I discovered a huge, beautiful flower field while going for a walk. Not far from Cologne and Düsseldorf, this is a real alternative!

Where does your curiosity take you?
I love places that tell a story, have a history, a unique culture. I am in love with beautiful landscapes and connecting to new people, places that make me feel like I really travelled somewhere. My worst nightmare would be a two week all-inclusive stay in a hotel while only traveling between the pool and the bar. Places that teach me something about myself own my heart. To me, traveling is exploring and freedom.

The Eltz Castle Hike: Embedded in wild and romantic nature, Burg Eltz sticks out from the green of the Eltz Valley. The famous castle corresponds to the ideas of a fairytale castle and has developed into an absolute Instagram hotspot in recent years. This doesn’t surprise me since it is considered one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Germany.
The parking lot and the shuttle bus often lets you forget that it is also beautiful around the castle, because the Eltz Valley is one of the most beautiful hiking routes in Germany.
