Burg Eltz, located in Germany’s Moselle area, is a medieval castle labeled as one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. It is still owned by the same family that lived here in the 12th century.
Sprinkled with fairytale flair, beautiful sight and one of the best hiking trails in the entire area, Eltz Castle is definitely worth a visit. Since it’s a perfect day trip from Cologne or Düsseldorf, you could easily combine a city trip with a visit to this magnificent castle.
…Home to a million-and-a-half people, historical sites, pretty squares, fascinating museums, magnificent churches, and rich architectural heritage, Munich has far more to offer than just Oktoberfest. No matter if you want to stroll around in the English Garden, see impressive churches, or admire ancient sculptures, there’s something for everyone in Bavaria’s capital.
…Veni, Vidi, Amivi – we came, we saw, we loved. | This definitely describes our feelings towards Venice. The choice to visit Venice as the first destination of our trip was the perfect way to get a beautiful, picturesque introduction to Italy. Venice, which very quickly became one of my favorite cities I’ve ever seen, is a magical floating city that looks as if it was pulled out of a fairytale. When we got out of our bus, we couldn’t believe our eyes! Everything looked to beautiful. Old buildings with red tile roofs, surrounded by turquoise water, beautiful shops and .. well, it just blew my mind.
…Salzburg is known for its beautiful baroque architecture, magnificent cathedral, rich cultural heritage, and being the birthplace of Mozart. Being only an hour ride away from the Bavarian capital, Munich, it is a popular day trip for many.
If you’re considering to visit Salzburg for a day, then this is the perfect itinerary for you. Just like every time, I tried to minimize walking distances as much as possible. You can use this itinerary as your free walking tour through Salzburg.
…Amsterdam, a popular European travel destination where many people come to spend a few days or even a week. But, it’s also very common for visitors to only have one day in Amsterdam. This may be due to a layover, a river cruise, or perhaps just a planned day trip from a nearby city.
I definitely would recommend to spend more than one day in Amsterdam, if possible, but you can also see and do a lot with a limited amount of time. Maybe you decide to come to this beautiful city again at a different time.
